would like to go back here again
Family room double single beds was perfect for us! It had a kettle, big soft towels, and a nice seating area. The indoor swimming pool was great, especially with the sun loungers around. Breakfast had freshly baked croissants and a decent variety of organic juices. Close to major routes for easy travel too.

Recommend it for couples seeking comfort
The room we had was a good size with a nice bath and shower. Perfect for unwinding after a long day. The huge TV for some late night TV binges was a nice touch. And let me tell you, the breakfast was stellar, fresh, local food that was the perfect way to start the day.
It wasn’t cheap, but still acceptable given the experience.

Really loved the peaceful garden area, perfect for relaxing mornings! 🌿 The only downside was the shower had a constant drip, but it didn't ruin my stay. Would definitely recommend for a cozy getaway!

Had a fantastic time staying with friends! We explored the Tractor Boys' football club and had a blast at Colchester Zoo. The staff were super friendly, and breakfast was great. Just a heads up, the self check-in was a bit awkward, but overall, a solid trip.

We loved our stay in the Superior Double Room, especially the super comfy bed and the delicious food we had for dinner. There are some great relaxation spots, like the indoor pool and garden area, perfect for unwinding. Just a heads up, we had a bit of trouble with dinner reservations, so it’s a good idea to book ahead if you can. 😊

A clean and spacious Double Room provided a comfortable stay. Tea and coffee facilities, along with a large TV, added convenience. The dining experience was particularly enjoyable, featuring home-baked Alentejo bread and well-prepared meals. the bathroom, while functional, showed signs of age, and the parking area could be more clearly marked. Some communal areas felt a bit worn despite the overall freshness of the hotel.

Oi! The dining scene here is a hit with the top-notch food served, especially the pizza that dazzled my taste buds. And the staff? Proper legends! They were super friendly and worked their socks off to keep us happy.
Now, about the lows, first room I got reeked of stale smoke, and it took ages to sort. In the end, found mold under the bed. The windows were a hassle, too! Still, it didn't ruin the vibe too much.

Friendly staff but cleanliness needs improvement
I stayed for a night in a Superior Double Room, and while the staff were incredibly friendly and hardworking, the overall cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. My room had not been properly cleaned, as there were remnants from previous guests, including some hairs on the mugs. The breakfast was quite good, offering a variety of delicious options. With all the potential this place has, it would greatly benefit from some thorough cleaning and maintenance.
